Yellow Hair (18 October 1959): At an abandoned Army post, Johnny finds a strange man babbling insanely. He tells Johnny that he is acting like a madman to keep the Indians from killing him. Guest stars: Royal Dano, Rodolfo Acosta, Perry Lopez, Carol Nugent.

Vicious Circle (25 October 1959): In a deserted Arizona desert town, Johnny encounters an egomanical ex-Confederate Captain who plans to establish a name for himself by re-opening the war. Guest stars: George Macready, Eddie Ryder, Ed Nelson, William Foster.

The Hunted (6 November 1960): A man sentenced to hang for murder escapes from jail with a posse on his trail. Meanwhile, a telegram arrives which proves him innocent and Johnny must find him before the posse does. Guest stars: Leonard Nimoy, Arline Sax, Yale Wexler, Dorothy Adams.

The Legacy (13 November 1960): In an effort to get help for a dying old man, Johnny finds himself framed for the murder of a woman he has never met. Guest stars: Jon Lormer, James Chandler, Paul Picerni, Robert Hutton.

Don Gringo (20 November 1960): Johnny comes to the rescue of a young senorita and pledges his honor to convey her safely to her prospective bridegroom -- an honor which is tested by her repeated amorous advances. Guest stars: Gigi Perreau, Rosa Turich, Eugene Iglesias, Edgar Barrier, Ed Coch.

Explosion (27 November 1960): Johnny brings in a ruthless criminal whose father will stop at nothing to set him free — including blowing up the town. Guest stars: L.Q. Jones, Denny Niles, Douglas Spencer, Ross Elliott.

Vindication (4 December 1960): After losing his horse in an Apache attack, Johnny is picked up by a passing stagecoach and taken to a nearby relay station where he meets a blind man whose wife was killed at the same location. Guest stars: James Drury, Martha Vickers, William Bryant, Dan Sheridan.

Volume Nine

The Scalp Hunter (11 December 1960): Johnny helps his uncle track down an Apache named Masi who murdered his wife in cold blood. Guest stars: John Dehner, Earl Parker, Hal Needham, Ross Sturlin.

The Liberators (1 January 1961): A band of Mexican marauders scare off everyone in a frontier town -- except two beautiful women whom Johnny must now protect from harm. Guest stars: Nico Minardos, Joan Vohs, Jody Warner, Nick Dennis.

The Guard (8 January 1961): A former Yankee guard under whose watch Johnny escaped during the war is determined that he will not escape from him again. Guest stars: Ed Nelson, Dee Pollack, William Phipps, Allen Kramer.

Jerkwater (22 January 1961): While passing through a small town, Johnny is confronted by a bitter ex-Yankee soldier and is badly wounded in the shoot-out that follows. Guest stars: John Dehner, John Marley, George Becwar, Charles Cason.

Paperback Hero (29 January 1961): Unbeknownst to Johnny, he has become the model for a fiction writer's bigger-than-life Western hero. Guest stars: Virginia Gregg, Robert Palmer, Daniel White, Robert Diamond.

The Actress (5 February 1961): When Johnny lands a part in the travelling show of famous actress, Lotta Langley, he discovers that, behind the glamorous facade, she is just a bitter old woman. Guest stars: Virginia Field, Sandra Knight, Vic Perrin, Robert L. Hickman.

The Threat (12 February 1961): Three thugs are holding a New Mexico town hostage and no one but Johnny is willing to stand up to them. Guest stars: Aladdin Pallante, Trevor Bardette, Richard Bakalyan, Red Morgan, Charles Heart, Ben Wright.

The Pit (12 March 1961): A woman asks Johnny to escort her and her infant son to a village to find her missing husband. The townsfolk react strangely when Johnny attempts to learn the man's whereabouts. Guest stars: Olive Sturgess, Myron Healey, Sheldon Allman, Ralph Reed.

Shriek of Silence (19 March 1961): Johnny kills a man in a fair fight, and then tries to care for the man's mute son. Guest stars: Tommy Noonan, Yvette Vickers, Jack Lester, Anna Karen, Frank de Kova.

Two Weeks (26 March 1961): An embittered ex-Yankee prisoner of war wins two weeks of Johnny's labor in a poker game and means to make him suffer. Guest stars: Frank Overton, Jaime Farr, Shirley Ballard.

Miz Purdy (2 April 1961): Mistaking him for a member of a gang of murderous outlaws, a feisty woman holds Johnny prisoner in her barn. Guest stars: Patricia Breslin, Jason Evers, Ken Mayer, Red Morgan, Russ Sturlin.

Ballad of Danny Brown (9 April 1961): Johnny arrives in Shady Grove to find the citizens preparing a hostile welcoming committee for an ex-convict. Guest stars: Tex Ritter, Gail Kobe, Stephen Joyce, William Bryant.

Volume Twelve

The Proxy (16 April 1961): Johnny and two volunteers are hot on the trail of a banker who has fled south of the border with his depositors' savings. Guest stars: Vic Damone, Royal Dano.

Decision at Sweetwater (23 April 1961): The stagecoach on which Johnny is a passenger is held up by robbers, who kidnap a young woman when the gold they are looking for is not found. Guest stars: Yvette Vickers, William Phipps, Sally Bliss, Donald Losby, Donald Buka, Herman Rudin, Bruno Ve Sota.

Helping Hand (30 April 1961): Johnny comes to a watering hole looking for a drink but gets caught in the middle of a family feud instead. Guest stars: Leif Erickson, Jack Elam, Eddie Ryder.

The Uncourageous (7 May 1961): On a round-up in Mexico, Johnny accidentally shoots the son of a famous matador and learns he is in disfavor with his family for not living up to his father's bravery. Guest stars: George Dolenz, Eugene Iglesias, Penata Vanni, Maria Val.

Mission: Varina (14 May 1961): After the War Between the States, Jefferson Davis is released from prison and his wife Varina asks Johnny and another ex-Confederate soldier to escort him to Richmond. Guest stars: Frieda Inescort, William Schallert.

The Calley Kid (21 May 1961): Bushwacked on a trail, Johnny awakens to find his horse, guns, and personal belongings missing and sets out after the outlaw who took them. Guest stars: Richard Bakalyan, Michael Vanderver.

Volume Thirteen

Ben White (28 May 1961): Johnny is deputized by a U.S. Marshal to take a girl to jail, but she is not about to cooperate. Guest stars: Mary Murphy, Charles Aidman, Bruno Ve Sota, William Henry.

The Found (4 June 1961): Johnny comes upon a young woman who is alone and about to give birth. After he helps deliver the baby, he finds himself held at gunpoint by the child's father. Guest stars: Peggy Campbell, Karl Held, George Sawaya.

The Hostage (11 June 1961): The brother of a sentenced murderer has kidnapped the Sheriff's brother and demands an exchange, but when the widow of the victim kills the prisoner, Johnny must impersonate him. This is the only episode to show Johnny Yuma out of his trademark costume. Guest stars: Lon McCallister, Jean Innes, Corey Allen, Stephen Joyce, Edward Kernmer.

The Executioner (18 June 1961): An albino Indian chief named LaBlanc is holding three White hostages -- a salesman, an old man, and a woman -- and he demands that Johnny choose which two of them will die. Guest stars: Terry Moore, Barry Atwater, Ken Mayer, Charles Aidman, Arthur Peterson.
